Truck Tech Yorkshire Upgrades Workshop with Heavy Duty 4-Post Lift

Truck Tech Yorkshire has enhanced its workshop capabilities with the installation of a new Stertil-Koni Heavy Duty 4-Post Lift, providing engineers with improved access, safety and efficiency for vehicle maintenance and inspections. 

Based in Hensall, Truck Tech Yorkshire operates a busy commercial vehicle workshop supporting the maintenance and inspection requirements of heavy commercial vehicles.

To support increasing maintenance demands, Truck Tech installed a new ST4175 electro-hydraulic 4-Post Vehicle Lift within a spare open workshop bay. Designed for quick drive-on inspections and servicing, the lift helps reduce vehicle downtime and improve workshop productivity. 

Offering a lifting capacity of 17.5 tonnes and a platform length of 9 metres, the ST4175 is suitable for a wide range of heavy commercial vehicles. The surface-mounted lift also features Stertil-Koni’s crossbeam-free design, providing engineers with unobstructed access along the full length of the vehicle.

To support day-to-day workshop operations, the lift has been equipped with an LED lighting set for improved visibility during under-vehicle inspections, alongside a 12-tonne jacking beam for wheel, brake and suspension maintenance.

The lift’s low drive-on height simplifies vehicle positioning, while extra-long approach ramps help reduce the risk of grounding and support safer access for long-wheelbase and low-clearance vehicles. For added flexibility, both platforms can be adjusted to accommodate vehicles with narrower axle widths.

Engineers benefit from smooth and precise lifting cycles thanks to an electronically controlled hydraulic system, designed to deliver reliable performance even under uneven load conditions. Safety is enhanced through Stertil-Koni’s patented mechanical locking system, which operates independently of the hydraulic system and engages automatically by gravity for additional reliability. 

Operation is controlled via Stertil-Koni’s eBright Smart Control System, featuring a full-colour touchscreen interface designed to provide simple and intuitive lift control.
