Truckrite, a leading commercial vehicle repair and recovery specialist with facilities in Avonmouth, Bridgwater, and Cardiff, has upgraded its Avonmouth workshop with a state-of-the-art 25-tonne, 10-metre Stertil-Koni 4-Post platform lift. This recent acquisition further strengthens the company's commitment to delivering high-quality service across the South West and Wales.
Having successfully used Stertil-Koni’s mobile column lifts for several years, Truckrite’s new investment marks a significant step in investing in its vehicle maintenance infrastructure, ensuring its technicians have access to the best equipment to service their customers.
The ST4250 lift, part of a range of truck lifting solutions from Stertil-Koni, features advanced electro-hydraulic technology, offering a powerful yet efficient solution for lifting heavy commercial vehicles. Designed with a crossbeam-free platform and low drive-on height, the lift allows Truckrite to streamline operations by accommodating vehicles with low ground clearance effortlessly. Its smart approach ramp system retracts automatically as the lift ascends, providing full, unobstructed access around the vehicle—ideal for Truckrite's diverse fleet servicing needs.
With adjustable platforms that can cater to vehicles of varying axle widths, the lift provides versatility, allowing Truckrite to work on a broader range of commercial vehicles. The advanced hydraulic system, paired with electronic controls, ensures smooth lifting and lowering cycles, even under uneven load conditions, a crucial feature for Truckrite’s demanding repair and maintenance tasks.
To further tailor the lift to their needs, Truckrite included several optional features, such as a jacking beam for tyre and brake repairs, and an LED lighting kit to enhance visibility of the vehicle underside during inspections and maintenance. These additions ensure that Truckrite's technicians can perform tasks more efficiently and with improved safety.
The lift also includes Stertil-Koni’s patented mechanical locking system, which operates independently of the lifting mechanism. This gravity-activated safety feature, along with the integrated pressure-relief valve, offers Truckrite the highest level of operational safety by preventing any overloading of the lifting columns.
Incorporating Stertil-Koni’s eBright Smart Control System, the lift enables Truckrite to benefit from precise, user-friendly operations via a touchscreen control panel. This advanced system allows the company’s technicians to raise and lower vehicles with unparalleled accuracy, enhancing the overall workflow in the Avonmouth facility.
Truckrite’s strategic investment in the Stertil-Koni platform lift not only improves their workshop's capabilities but also reaffirms their dedication to providing the highest level of service to their customers.
