Plymouth County Council has made a significant upgrade to its vehicle maintenance capabilities with the addition of a state-of-the-art 25-tonne, 8-metre platform truck lift at its Prince Rock Depot. This new 4-post vehicle lift from Stertil-Koni, the fourth purchased by the Council, is set to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and support the safe servicing of heavy-duty vehicles.
The lift’s advanced electro-hydraulic system provides powerful yet smooth operation, allowing the maintenance team to handle even the heaviest vehicles with confidence. Its low drive-on height and crossbeam-free design make it particularly effective for vehicles with low ground clearance, while offering full, unobstructed access to the underside for inspections and repairs.
Engineered for versatility, the ST4250 heavy-duty truck lift features adjustable platforms that can accommodate vehicles with varying axle widths, enabling the Council to service a broader range of fleet vehicles. Optional extras, such as a jacking beam for tyre and brake work and an LED lighting kit to enhance visibility, have further optimised the lift for the team’s specific requirements.
Safety is integral to the design of the lift, which includes Stertil-Koni’s patented mechanical locking system. This independent, gravity-activated mechanism provides robust protection during operation. Additional safety features, such as an integrated pressure-relief valve, prevent overloading, ensuring reliable performance even during the most demanding maintenance tasks.
Efficiency is enhanced by the eBright Smart Control System, which uses a user-friendly touchscreen interface to allow precise control of the lift. This innovation simplifies workflows and minimises downtime, enabling technicians to complete servicing tasks quickly and accurately.
