West London-based fast service garage, Feltham Tyre Centre, has installed Stertil Koni vehicle lifts into a recently expanded workshop. Aware of Stertil Koni’s reputation for quality and reliability, Feltham Tyre Centre requested a quotation and subsequently specified four fixed 2-post lifts.
Feltham Tyre Centre has many years of experience in the tyre industry with garages in Feltham and nearby Slough. Both locations provide a fast-fit tyre, exhaust, battery, brakes and wheel alignment service. Following the expansion of its Feltham workshop, the company required additional vehicle lifts to accommodate commercial vehicles plus a wide variety of private vehicles.
Stertil Koni engineers worked closely with Feltham Tyre Centre to evaluate the many operational requirements and the final proposals centred upon Stertil Koni’s 2-post lifts comprising three KS2050 lifts and one SK2030 lift. Providing a lifting capacity of five tonnes, the KS2050 is equipped with two hydraulic cylinders and an electronically-controlled synchronisation system that enables the lifting of a vehicle to a height of 2.03 metres in only 32 seconds. Significantly, the KS2050 has been designed to lift at full capacity even when the arms are fully extended, unlike some similarly-rated lifts.
The low 90mm pick-up arms of the SK2030 make it ideal for sports cars and, with a three tonnes lifting capacity, it is equally suitable for light commercial vehicles. With its baseless design, folded steel columns and the asymmetric positioning of the double-telescopic lifting arms, access to the underside of raised vehicles is completely unrestricted. Feltham Tyre Centre has also purchased a range of special pick-up adaptors to increase the overall flexibility of the 2-post lifts and enable the company to meet diverse customer vehicle lifting requirements.
