Having recently installed not one, but twelve sets of Stertil Koni's mobile vehicle lifts, Volvo South should be in the know when it comes to the best way of paying for them! The twelve 8.2 tonne capacity lifts were distributed to Volvo depots throughout the South East in Basingstoke, Hayes, Croydon, Radlett and Didcot and were purchased on a five-year Contract Hire with Maintenance deal.
The hire and maintenance deal gives Volvo South a fixed monthly outgoing per set of lifts. Also, each lift is covered by a full parts and labour warranty for the period of the finance and regular service contract visits are an integral part of the plan. The combination of these factors means that Volvo South can enjoy general peace of mind in the knowledge that, if any problems occur, they would be fully covered. Also, the fixed cost of the contract helps to simplify the company's budgeting and forecasting process. Finally, the terms of the contract mean that no capital outlay is required.
Volvo South had been very impressed with the quality of Stertil Koni's products: after many years of using electro-mechanical mobile lifts, the low maintenance, functionality and special features of Stertil's electro-hydraulic system were particularly appealing. Stertil's ST1082 mobile vehicle lifts have a control box on every column, enabling operation from each one, either to operate the columns individually, in pairs or all at once. One set of four lifting columns gives a lifting capacity of 32.8 tonnes. One of the world's fastest lifting columns, the ST1082 can reach its maximum height of 1.85 metres in just 89 seconds.
"Flexible funding of equipment makes sound sense to many of our customers," says Tony Edge of Stertil Koni. "It provides opportunities to maximise tax deduction while minimising capital outlay and enables businesses to buy equipment now and pay for it from future earnings. With many businesses experiencing financial pressure, an additional line of credit, separate from their banks, can be extremely helpful."
Stertil was the first company in the industry to implement ISO 9001 and SafeContractor systems and, in February 2007, became the first in the industry to achieve the 'green credentials' standard of ISO 14001 for environmental management. During this process, the company has significantly reduced its energy consumption and reduced its landfill waste by 50%.
Stertil Koni is known, not just for its products, but also for its excellent customer service. The company factory-trains its own engineers and keeps parts in stock for 25 years after production. The company also supplies lifts from Omer and JA Becker alongside its own products.
